The New Cultural and Tourist Center
Today, the Partenón Zihuatanejo is a very popular place among residents and tourists visiting Zihuatanejo. Its history, architecture, and cultural spaces make it a must-see tourist attraction during your visit to Zihuatanejo, also together with the spectacular view of Zihuatanejo Bay makes for a truly unique travel experience.
The El Partenón Zihuatanejo property, has 5,198 m2 with decorations and gardening landscape design.
Interior of El Partenon: On the ground floor there are 4 classrooms, one of them specially equipped for camera control, voice and data lines, the second and third classrooms are an exhibition room for paintings, sculptures and workshops, the fourth is an administration office and a general storage room.
The basement was converted into dressing rooms. The first has a capacity of 12 people and the second has a maximum capacity of 10. This space is specially adapted for artists performing at this Cultural and Tourism Center. This area also includes a prop storage room and men’s and women’s restrooms.
On the upper floor, we have five exhibition halls. These rooms were once the property’s bedrooms. Today, they have become two classrooms, three exhibition halls, and a control center for all the lighting and sound equipment for special events.
One of the main spaces of the mansion’s remodeling is the majestic bandshell-type stage. This architectural structure was built to improve the acoustics and sound quality at events. It has 80 square meters of stage built with concrete foundations and lined with wood for outdoor use. A section of bleachers was also added with a capacity of up to 500 people. The seats are lined with wood similar to that used on the stage.
A restroom module was built with capacity for 12 people in the men’s area and 13 people in the women’s area, allowing us to serve 25 people at the same time.
The former nightclub has been transformed into a coffe shop with food and beverages service. Downstairs, there are two rooms used as general storage.
